At Heladería Horchatería Pepe, we take pride in being an integral part of the local community. Since opening our doors in 1986, we’ve worked with passion and dedication to offer our customers the finest ice creams, authentic Valencian horchata, and the classic fartons in La Playa Pobla de Farnals.
Our story actually began a few years earlier. It all started in the 1970s, when José and Milagros opened a small grocery store in Torrent. Years later, with the arrival of major supermarket chains like Consum and Mercadona, that family business was forced to close.
In 1985, fortune smiled upon us — José won the lottery. That same summer, after discovering Playa Pobla and seeing how lively and busy it was, they decided it was the perfect place to start anew. With part of the prize money, they bought a shop and made another investment that allowed Heladería Horchatería Pepe to open its doors in 1986.
Since then, we’ve witnessed many changes in the area and in our customers’ tastes. Throughout it all, we’ve stayed committed to offering high-quality ice creams, always paired with our fresh horchata and fartons, keeping us a local favorite in La Pobla de Farnals.
